outsider
I was watching my 2004 Expression session DVD when I thought to myself, "Dude, what's with all the porno music?" so my question is, will the 2005 DVD also be a bummer in terms of the soundtrack or will we be hearing some improvement? CarvCanada
Will they really care? I mean, how many copies are being made? They're mostly bought from people who were there as a souvenir, and it's pretty much non-profit isn't it? I doubt they'd start sending their lawyers, you should just put the tracks on and not worry about it :) who's gonna care (or notice) my votes for tunes: Boards of Canada-1969 Prodigy- Narayan
Speedzilla
They use music like that in pornography? Huh, I guess I wouldn't know anything about that. :D
SWriverstone
I can offer some music. (Seriously.) I went to Juilliard. I know what I'm doing. And I write/produce music all the time. Let me know where to send a CD, how much you need, and when you need it! I'll get something to you with NO obligation to use it if you don't like it (and no hard feelings). Just trying to help (and I'd enjoy an excuse to crank out some new music!) Scott
Fleaman
You could always get D-Sub to bust out some beats for the video. He sounds like the kinda guy that would work for beer too.
SWriverstone
Is D-Sub a drummer? ('Cause I am!) :p I can create some intensely rhythmic stuff... (Not trying to put D-Sub out of a job. LOL) Scott
D-Sub
no...I write Electronic Music, mostly of the breakbeat variety anything on my site www.bastardbreaks.com would be usable and 100% free.
SWriverstone
Cool D-Sub---you've got a leg up on me 'cause I don't have stuff available online. (But I can bang it out fast!) I'll have to check out those tracks... Scott
Fleaman
Hey D-Sub, how about some Carving inspired music with titles like Folding the Nose Trenchin the Cord Slicing Ice etc.

Nice beats D-Sub, I Likey! However, I'm listening to one of your tracks track right now while watching "mikemcse"s animated avatar, and its way too funny. (Click D-Subs site, pick a track, and then click on the thread titled "Comin to Ideeho" to find the AV and you'll get the idea.)

Jon Dahl
than watching cmc out-carve the world!
FTA2R
If I'm not mistaken, I think Scott is more of a percussionist vs. set player. Guys, don't make me post my drumming clips online hahahaha wait who am I fooling. Scott went to freaking Julliard!!!!! --- Barry

ncermak
Scott may have gone to Julliard, but I just downladed some D Sub... The boys got skills. Till I hear differently, D Sub is the Drum Master! (does that make him DMD?)
FTA2R
Noah, I don't believe D-Sub is actually PLAYING anything, he's writing the music but it's all digital (no offense to you D-Sub, I know you are talented at what you do). Scott actually PLAYS instruments. BIG difference, VERY big difference. --- Barry
SWriverstone
I write music similar to D-Sub's too...but in the meantime, go check out my group's website... http://www.rotapercussion.com This is the percussion group I formed and performed with for several years. If you click the "Listen To Rota" link, you'll find several hours' worth of MP3s of our live performances. Some pretty jammin' drum music there! (Way more complex than drum circle stuff---we use a HUGE variety of electronic and acoustic percussion instruments.) Lots of primal, world-ethnic stuff. And it's all available for use on the SES DVD! FTA2R
nice...got a lot of sounds going on there. Do you do any Percussive Arts Society (PAS) events or anything like that? I used to in high school, but I'd think they'd be interested in having you all perform. --- Barry
Shred Gruumer
Check out the sound Track to "Pornosonic!" That would be a killer DVD! Can't get to the link,, so you'll have to get to it your self! Classic!! look for the Commercial clip for it on the Pornosonic site! Fin! don't worry its just music!!! Right Said Shred.. now Amp Land Dot Com is a different story!:)
D-Sub
sounds like Scott is pretty eager. Im not a fan of competition, and it was someone else thta suggested me I think...so... heck...are they even really looking for music of that sort? SWriverstone
LOL---hey, I'm not that eager either. But I'd still be happy to contribute some music to the cause---and you should too, D-Sub! You guys editing the DVD...you should definitely use an "All Made By Carvers" soundtrack! It would be a shame to use some canned porn soundtracks when you have all of us! :) Scott
D-Sub
not that eager, my arse ;) agreed on the "no porn" stuff...are there other musicians here? gotta be!
