bill b
Hi all, does the thickness or rigidity of E rings change with time ? Last season I noticed some play in my connection to the board . I bought new firmer TD2 rings, problem solved . This past weekend I went to try my 2 other boards , all with 2nd board kits and both of them had play that I don't remember last year. Any solutions , considering I can't buy new TD2 E rings right now ? Thanks
Beckmann AG
Maybe cut a few spacers out of the side of a motor oil jug? Castrol for the front foot, Mobil 1 for the back foot.
michael.a
Yes, the TD2 e rimgs in effect fail after a couple years of use. I had the original transparent yellow rimgs that turned into mush and withered away. No such issue with the TD3s
bill b
Thanks for the replies. What about cork cut in the shape of the E rings and using that under the ring ?
Beckmann AG
Thin cork gasket material could work. If it's too thick, though, you might pull the inserts a little.
