My addition above plus the othernew addition from Standa Snowboards.

Mats Drougge (also from Alpinepunk) builds some great boards and has rebranded his company Maverick Snowboards as Stranda Snowboards to reflect more of the Scandinavian influences on his designs and riding style.

The new red Stranda Cheater 200s are awesome? and if you are looking for a great selection of boards designed for all levels of snow surfing, please check out the new website at https://www.strandasnowboards.com/

Cheers and pray for snow.

I just ordered my first new-from-the-factory Donek, thanks to winning the raffle at ATC.  As expected, it was a pleasure working with Sean.  He gave me enough info to help me get over a tough dilemma: Rev or Secret.  I rode and loved the Rev 180 at ATC, but the Secret is getting such amazing reviews that I really wanted to try it.

I'll be getting a Secret 180, stiffer than stock, and more pop/less damp than the full-on raceboards.  Pictures to follow!

Oh baby:

yeah, 11-19 seems like dreamy-sweet! I own my custom wonderful bruce' masterpiece coiler 196sg superboard with radius like 15-44 (?.. it's only my guess, but tail is almost straight) - it carve charms, and speed stability is second to none

Beauty, Corey!  11.5 - 19, is that the biggest range of variable sidecut we've seen?

It's the same as the Kessler 180.  Approximately, because Kessler uses clothoid curves and the Donek Secret is a hyperparabollipse.

I like the green on black, @corey_dyck.  Reminds me of this badass 80' long racing maxi sailboat that used to come into town for the Marblehead to Halifax ocean race, called Donnybrook.  Can't find a better pic, but:

So stoked for the season just gotta share what's coming my way!  Not here yet but very excited about how it will ride and rail!

A Moss Snowstick that's really meant for Hardboots!   Tahoe Sports Hub in Truckee will have the only other AP67 in the US available as a demo board!  ....and they being the only US dealer also have the full lineup of 2017-18 Moss Snowsticks available to buy or demo!  Drop in and ask for the Moss Master, Kenny Good!

I'll post up some photos when it arrives and a review when I've had some time on it...........

Think Snow!

Nice... Is that carbon fibre we can see, or is that a cosmetic foil looking like carbon fibre? If it IS carbon fibre, then it is angled at +45 / -45 degrees, which makes a lot of sense for a composite board, but maybe not so much for a metal board. Do we know anything else about the materials used? I know it is meant to be a secret, but according to the Donek website, it is a metallic construction, but without using Titanal - which is intriguing. Any thoughts?

That's just the black textured Donek topsheet.  No visible carbon.  Looks like it at first glance though!

  • 3 weeks later...

Picked this up at the bus depot

JJSB ClearZ 170.  In replacement of a JJSB Cypress I destroyed last year.

I believe we settled on 12-17-15 like the Cypress but softened the nose & tail.  24.5-20.0-24.0.  I'll have to double check the specs with him but he's out for a few weeks.  Feels pretty stiff still.

A new plate should make its way around Xmas.
