RichW
Just read this article, came here to check it out and signed up. I've only seen a few carvers while out on the slopes, I come from a surfing background in Orange County, California so it grabbed my attention immediately. Definitely going to be trying this out as soon as I can. I over-exaggerate on my board already to make it feel like I'm surfing, hitting a burm with speed and carving out of it to get the feel of being on a wave....

This is one of the reasons i got into carving. I used to surf back in Florida (well the few days where there were actually good waves). And yes, it really is the same sensation. Like surfing, except that with carving, you don't have to worry about catching a wave. Though, there are many other variables. Welcome! Corey
Nice, you guys are way ahead of me. I took photos of the paper and was trying to post them. A 4-page article is a big deal! Jim and Angie continue to take Bomber in new directions.

billyt.
Uh Oh, mainstream! Does this mean that we will be leaving the Darkside? I guess PR is a good thing for those who been trying to make a living with alpine carving. Ride the wave.

b0ardski
encouraging write up, maybe someday ("skiboots? on a snowboard?" ) will be a thing of the past instead of a daily occurrence and we won't be looked at like green 2 headed aliens from different dimension Edited February 19, 2016 by b0ardski
grayontray
After recently riding at Big Sky, I have to say most "ordinary folks" (skiers and boarders) reacted to us (we were 5 or 6 hardbooters) quite favorably. Lotsa thumbs up, interested inquiries and Buster was flattered cuz he had groupies following him down the hill
bumpyride
This exemplifies surfing on a board. Already posted a couple of places, but this type of terrain is what it's really all about for me on a carving board.
