andiss
So picked up a Lamar Power (Prototype) 169cm from 2001/2 a few months ago (it was CHEAP) - never used - now i'm looking around online trying to find reviews on it - and there is nothing out there - specially now with Lamar totally gone and Lamar was really never known for fast carving boards. I still have an old Mike Ranquet from 94 i think - heavy stuff with baseless bindings!!!!! Length 169cm Effective edge 134cm Nose/Tail 29.pcm Waist.24.9cm Sidecut 9.3m ( a bit tight maybe) Nose/Tail kick 5.8cm / 4cm Camber 1.1cm Setback 3cm The stats sounds promosing but is it Crap that can be trashed (like ride in conditions with more grass than snow like the field behind my house the 1-2days every second year we get snow) - or an ok ride as an allmountain soft / hardboot carver. andiss
My brother is dragging me to Davos second week in December. I might do a surgical strike mid week Jan/Feb or March - its only a 10 hours journey or 750km - people have advised - Scotland = don't plan a trip - go when it looks good. This was my last ski trip - http://www.upguides.com/trips/kebnekaise-ski-touring-sweden 1999 i think it was - no lifts but we didnt get to ski a lot due to avalanche risk
kieran
follow the fb page. when the weather and conditions are going to overlap, there's about a 2 day notice period when folk start going nuts. for the backs, it's february really until they're safe for general use. andiss
So does people take a day off when it looks good, crowded on the back corries and empty in the piste?
kieran
it's about 20% back corries, 50% beginners area, 30% piste. nevis never feels 'full' even when the carparks are bursting. it's well laid-out.
