ExcelsiorTheFathead
Mission Ridge acquires new land for expansion. Why the heck can't they be open every day? I could live in Wenatchee if only MR was open daily.
Mr.E
Are they closed Tue and Wed?
ExcelsiorTheFathead
Something like that. You have to look at their schedule carefully to know what's up. During holidays they run daily, but in between they cut anywhere from 2 to 4 weekdays. MR is supposed to have really nice carving terrain, but I've never ridden there. Mr.E
I've never been- the photos looked nice. I didn't realize they floated the days off. That would be hard to plan around, eh?
Keenan
The Ridge Rocks! Best carving in WA state. Lots of sunshine and a really interesting layout. PSIA NW moved their headquarters to Wenatchee from Seattle, they were probably done with skiing in the rain.
Jon Dahl
Went there once and rode the WROD when there was NO snow anywhere else. Interesting mountain, and I could see it would be a good carve mountain.
OhD
Mission's not bad, when they get enough snow. I prefer White Pass for better lift capacity and a little bit steeper groomers, but Mission has some long cruisers and is really nice on a quiet day. ExcelsiorTheFathead
Anybody have anything new on Mission Ridge? Anybody go there at all recently? What's the deal there?
Sasquatch_Surfer
I ride there regularly. It has great carving runs, and other great terrain as well. Lift lines are small to non-existent but on a weekend or holiday you will want to get there before 0830, as the parking lot can fill up, even though the runs are uncrowded. I believe the schedule this season is offering more midweek days open. Check the web site to be sure. It's been snowing a bunch lately and coverage is great If you come, send me a note and I will show you around if I'm there.
ExcelsiorTheFathead
Thanks. Good to hear from somebody who goes there. Ever since I started snowboarding at Stevens Pass back around '08, I've heard good things about the terrain at Mission. It must be sunnier than the typical WA state resort? The limited schedule is the only thing that bugs me, but if it isn't so crowded even on weekends then that seems hopeful.

It's kind of amazing because it's so close to Stevens Pass, but a completely different weather pattern is involved. Much like Mt. bachelor in Oregon there is over 300 days of sunshine in the area with drier snow.
ExcelsiorTheFathead
Mission Ridge has a new bubble lift but they still can't be open every day? WTF? Why can't they operate a full daily schedule? GRRR.
