the snowsports area that imagines itself as the best in scotland is messed up. run by multiple competing and disagreeing companies / NGO's etc etc. there used to be a chairlift system which took one to the top of the hill, but it didn't run in high winds obviously, so there was a corrupt tender process to put in a funicular. sadly if there's been drifting snow the funicular doesn't run because there was snow-clearing system specced, manual labour only.

we've had a lot of snow recently, which leaves only a combination of 3 fast, jerky, painful pomas to get you to the top of the hill.
