teach
Took myself off the injured list. Camelback was very well-covered. The run down to Raceway/Rhododendron Glen had NO rocks in the snow. None at all! My boards's edges thank the responsible parties. Pretty nice conditions, held up well. Got some nice turns in with a rider known only as the 'Roy Boy. Good to be back.
teach
Extremely nice conditions yesterday. Cold kept the dangerous element away for the most part. Rhododendron Glen was listed as groomed, and 2/3 or so had been groomed at some point, but there was a layer of manmade snow on top. Slow and unpredictable surface. No problem as Raceway was great. I'm overlooking the grooming ridglets, which weren't too punishing even later than I usually stay. Had to drag myself away. Now we've got snow, rain, freezing rain, sleet, and over 32 degrees. Setting up for a sweet Friday!
Guest
thinking of taking tomorrow (wednesday) off - anyone go up today? wondering how conditions are. weather set up looks pretty good but I'm worried it could be sand/iceballs
teach
Yes, I'll be there. I may bring skis in case conditions are poor. Then I'll be happy staying on Sunbowl. How did the Palmer work out, by the way? Very curious.
teach
Camelback says they will be open until April 13. Heard yesterday wasn't great but today was pretty good -- very firm, still good coverage.
teach
Fantastic conditions today. Firm with an extra helping of grippy. Great grooming job -- smooth smooth smooth. Firing on all cylinders. Maybe the best this year. I bet tomorrow will be great too.

teach
Update: Camelback closes Sunday April 6. Supposed to just barely freeze overnight so maybe will be OK...
teach
Anyone there to close the season out? Wished I could have made it.
icebiker
Sorry I didn't make it in time Reid....overseas travel got in the way. Still hoping for some mid-late April fun at K'ton before packing the boards away.
teach
Blue Mountain is open this weekend. Dang... Maybe just to say they have the longest season. Still, I have some passes left... not getting to Loveland this spring... maybe they saw my post and did it for me!
