The reason I'm asking is I am in the market for new boots, and I can see AT boots as an alternative, but most AT boots are either locked into a single position or in walk mode. BlueB Posted September 21, 2013 Author Report Share Posted September 21, 2013 BTS is personal... I like it for freeride and teaching, don't care when just carving the firm pack. Some of those boots could be modified to take the BTS, though. Benefit of the AT or ski boot is that you can ski and board in the same boot and better walkabillity (Vibram soles on AT) and stiffer sole bed. Benefits to some might be stiffer flex of the ski boots, or softer flrx of the AT boot, or the fit for those who don't like the 2 remaining snowboard specific brands. I get coupons for Sierra Trading Post and these boots have some good comments on the internet regarding their weight and AT flex.
