I like the stormtrooper, but would prefer a softer flex, Roxa Xride fits the bill. if only it'd accept a stepin heel

a 5 position lean mech and lockable medial/lateral flexing cuff hinge would be perfect'

ps, no NTN so it can't rule free heel skis:(

BTS is personal... I like it for freeride and teaching, don't care when just carving the firm pack.

Some of those boots could be modified to take the BTS, though.

Benefit of the AT or ski boot is that you can ski and board in the same boot and better walkabillity (Vibram soles on AT) and stiffer sole bed.

Benefits to some might be stiffer flex of the ski boots, or softer flrx of the AT boot, or the fit for those who don't like the 2 remaining snowboard specific brands. With Head Stratos being discontinued now, the Dalbello offers the identical boot in 4 different flexes.

BlueB, thanks for the info.

What do you guys think of discount/discontinued boots? I get coupons for Sierra Trading Post and these boots have some good comments on the internet regarding their weight and AT flex. Any collective opinion on the flex as it relates to hard booting or if anybody has experience with these boots?
