www.oldsnowboards.com
Goode snowboard, Anyone have any experience with the Goode brand of snowboards, they are made of carbon composite I would think this wwould be an excellent material to use. Any fefeedback would be appreciated. Thanks. Greg Hi Greg, I believe they only made alpine boards for a year or two. That was years ago. They were pretty successful in the early days of carbon poles. I remember seeing a few in person and they looked pretty strong , very simplistic graphics and their longest board was too short for my tastes. Find one cheap grab it and ride it. I have seen very few mentioned here over the years.
BlueB
Yeah, 164 was their longest. I didn't ride it, but had one in my hands. Looked hi quality built. All-mountainish shaped.
patmoore
The owner of the ski shop where I work has one. I test rode it a couple of years ago but wasn't crazy about it.
SnowSpeedster
Now I wish I would have bought that one I saw on Ebay about a year ago.
boardguru
I don't think that they make snowboards anymore, I know that they make ski poles and other products, as I see a LOT of people (skiers) riding up on the gondola at Snowbasin with their (Goode) ski poles. davekempmeister
i'm guessing a friend of mine got his hands on the board that was on ebay. he called me and asked me if i knew anything about Goode and i told him i'd look here on BOL. he's new to it all and should be encouraged by what's in this thread, with regard to build quality and such. www.oldsnowboards.com
115$ delivered for a carbon snowboard that is NOS, hard to complain about that right? Interesting it took three auctions to sell it? I was tempted.
breeseomatic
I too was tempted by this auction. A little too short for my personal preference, but it could have been a decent guest board. Hopefully the new owner joins bomber and fills us in in the ride.
davekempmeister
the goode won't be wasted on this guy - he gets out on the hill year several days every year. about 60 yrs old, 5'6" +/- and maybe 150 lbs. i think the fit will be perfect and the length is in keeping with what he's accustomed to. he rides forward angles already anyway and pretty much squares his shoulders to the nose of the board. i think he'll transition easily, given his style. he needs boots and bindings next. his foot is US 8.5 and i told him that at his weight, his binding options were more extensive than mine (plastics). he ll want some play in the set up that's more than just boots in walk mode. we'll see how it goes. 8 months to work on it. Ladia
These boards are more than 20 years old. I remember Granite Chief at Squaw Valley sold them for season or two.
Deuxdiesel
I realize that my board is ancient, but I would still like to have one for posterity's sake. And when I say "my board", I mean just that. I researched, designed, tested and retested as well as oversaw the prototype manufacturing of this board.
vmartinez
I had contacted them 4 or 5 years ago and tried to get one. But they didn't have any. I am local to the Ogden area. They only made them for a few seasons from what I can tell. VM
