Bryan's pic of an F2 196 from way back is the inspiration here.

anyone with a board in any way similar that is going unused?

the only boards precluded would be Rossi WC and Sims Burner (Sims - maybe if it's really cheap), otherwise I am open to glass, metal, 188 cm minimum. Burton FP would have to be cheap, race stock, fresh or NOS and stiff, stiff, stiff. looking for something intimidating, for sure.

There was a 205 Donek on LA Craigslist last month...ad expired now, so don't know if it sold or what. Might be worth keeping an eye out for.

How much was it listed for Dan??

Since Dave NEEDS a good teasing. I have a MINT Coiler PR 196cm with no sidecut he might want??

That's a tasty looking Coiler 196 oldsnowboards. It looks like it has a decent amount of sidecut.

Big stiff boards are out there, the tricky thing is to get the owners to part with them. I have a couple (190 Prior and a 197 Burner), neither for sale yet.

that (unfinished) room is beautiful. no sidecut, really?

thanks Dan. I will check periodically - that board would fit the description, i'd think.

Hey Dave, I am sure there is some sidecut, but not much, this is a big go fast board. I have not ridden it yet, hope to soon.

Thanks , I am afraid I need to get it insulated and rocked by Thanksgiving. (That is what I have promised my family) I really want to host Thanksgiving this year. Funny thing, my oldest brother said the same thing. He said it would be cool if I could leave it that way. Rustic. It is really handy for putting snowboard in :) I don't think the city inspector would buy it though.

PS. Tinkler just handed me a modded plate for the BP system. Added pressure to get back on the mountain to try some new gear!! It is SO LIGHT. Added bonus , it will work with his "Axle Riser" and the BP systems. Maybe the Coiler would be a good choice to try it out on??:eplus2:

If it had a lightening bolt on the bottom , it might have been James Ong's?? Jump to the one minute point to see it.

No, the 205 on LA CL was claimed locally (not me unfortunately) and was a standard build older 205. I believe around 19cm wide.

Bryan, the room is beautiful because of what you have standing around - like a good party or museum. No doubt it will be on it's own when you are finished with it. Most certainly, I would jump at the chance to buy the Coiler. (Sidecut is something that lenses/photos so easily distort) That said, I do hope it's a board that you will enjoy riding, but if you don't......

Nekdut - thanks for saving me the trouble. Funny, if it panned out on CL and some sort of p/u needed be arranged, I was already thinking of you. Maybe you knew that, huh?

And...that 205 cm Donek is back on LA Craigslist, at a downright attractive price: http://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/spo/3128357658.html

Maybe it was more board than the buyer was looking for?

i've got a 185 race stock FP i could be convinced to part with. At 220+lbs the thing scares the bejeezus out of me. even has the old step-in physics on it....
I have a rossi wc. I could let go. If you u would like a classic

hey everybody.

Dan - I called the guy with the 205 and then emailed him and he didn't get back to me. Maybe just doesn't want to ship or whatever.

eajracing - how are the inserts, base and edges on the FP? how much use/ how long have you had it? super stiff? how much?

mike g - I had a Rossi WC 190 for a few years and want something different - great base on that board, though. if a NOS 184 still in plastic was sticking out of a rack somewhere I'd be tempted.

Dave, just give me a PM, I have two boards for sale which you will like: a black Oxess 185 GS Worldcup Titanal (with UPM inserts), and Tinkler Full system Titanal 202cm. They are both in excellent condition and for an interesting price.
