Gabe T
So we had a total meltdown this past week. Highs of 60-68 F for a full week starting last Sunday; never even getting close to freezing. :( Our local hill closes up today. I was convinced to head up yesterday to check it out. Brought up skis and my Coiler VSR 173 thinking I would likely not even get a chance to ride it. It looked pretty ugly riding up the lift for the first run! It was surprising to say the least that the snow was still able to hold a decent carve; it warmed up to about 66 yesterday. I didn't even bust out the Coiler until the afternoon, then rode it for over 3 hours! The last shot was from my last run of the day. www.oldsnowboards.com
Thanks for sharing your last day/run with BOL. The runs look like they had pretty good coverage. No crowds and nice weather. Sounds like a good day to end on. It looks to me that when you are holding the pole in your left hand your upper body gets much quieter? Just a thought. Nice job, have a nice spring!! PS. Glad you didn't get poked in the fast with that pole. Timberline has a 110$ spring pass , good till May 28th FYI :) http://www.timberlinelodge.com/conditions/ March 18th, 2012Updated 10:00 AM 20° Cloudy 7” New snow last 24 hrs Edited March 18, 2012 by www.oldsnowboards.com
lowrider
Nice little twist of the knife with the Timberline remark. Season ended here as well today with a strip of slush about 20 feet wide down one blue run. We live in envy of the west coast life. Hoping for an early start to next year. Chance for one last kick at the can if Blue Mt in Collingwood can hold on but with rain and 70 degree temp for Wed doesn't look promissing. Nice vid Gabe thanks for your videos this season. Looking forward to some of the New Coiler plate and board videos next season.
www.oldsnowboards.com
Not at all, I am not able to ride much this season. I just want to encourage folks to come and take advantage of our long spring season. I want to extend a PNW invitation to all BOL members. Come pitch a tent in my yard!! At least until my addition is done (months away I am afraid). My house is tiny, one bed, couch is stacked with snowboard sh!t. :) Bryan
