Longer screws

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I have td3 bindings and im getting some of those "plexi" plates to put under the bindings to protect the board from week spots. I was wondering if anyone knows where i could get longer screws for the td3 because all i could find was the longer ones for cateks. Just send me a thread back, thanks.

Depends how thick your plexi-plates are... TD3 screws are M6x20mm. Add the thickness of the plexi-plates to 20, and that's what you need. If you don't mind Phillips #2 screws, try a hardware store. Otherwise, order here:

Note that there may not be screws available in the exact length you need... hand-filing will usually suffice.

Just a bit off-topic, but does anyone know where you can get TD3 compatible hardware that takes 5 mm hex keys? All of the M6 screws at McMaster-Carr use the smaller 4 mm hex keys. Not that it's a big deal, but then you need to carry both 4 and 5 mm keys if you start mixing.

I realize Bomber does carry extra hardware, but was wondering where to find the stuff in bulk. Thanks.

Other than the M8 plate-to-cant bolts, I believe they are all custom made, and Bomber is your only source. I've looked everywhere, believe me.

Thanks... that pretty much confirms my suspicions. I've also looked around and have found that all standard M6 screws use 4 mm hex keys, and M8 uses 5 mm.
