Orpheus
I'm in the market for a new boardercross board, but I'm not sure my dad is up for pitching in to help me buy one just yet... :P Still, I've been looking around the classifieds and there seem to be a lot of freeride boards, but fewer boardercross boards. I'm looking for something between 160 and 170 cm that is shaped with boardercross racing in mind: cambered, with a wide nose and tail, and lots of effective edge. I'd also prefer it to be on the heavier side, perhaps with metal construction for good dampening. I only weigh about 120, but I race a Prior FLC Metal 172 for GS and I handle it pretty well for its weight, and I like the way it really holds an edge. That's the kind of performance I want in a boardercross board. I would likely race boardercross in soft boots the way I have been, but on a Never Summer I just dont get the same thrill or performance that I get on my gate racing hardboot boards. I'm hoping for something less expensive, but with my description so specific I understand that isn't always possible. Right now I just want to see what's out there for sale, because I'm sure anything here will be cheaper than a brand new custom Kessler or Donek :P Thank you in advance! -Orpheus
