Guest
I would like to find a slalom board around a 10m sidecut or less, and in the lower 160's range for length. Not looking to spend anything crazy - just need a fun narrow trail board. Maybe a renn tiger? anything like that should work. Must be 19cm waist or bigger...I can't do those 18.5 needle boards I'm currently riding a Donek metal FC II 171, 20 waist, 11-13m sidecut; I weigh 150lbs. When I have a wide trail, this board is a dream. However, boarding on mostly narrow east coast trails, I'm actually starting to miss having a playful slalom board (starting to wish I never sold that tomahawk ...) Corey
The short RennTigers are fun (<163, the 168 is a GS for light people), as are the F2 SL boards. The F2 felt more 'serious' and made a wide variety of turn shapes, the RT more 'playful' but seemed to like a small window of turn shapes. I enjoyed riding the RT more even with the limited turn shapes. If your budget grows: Coiler 160-something VSR with the XT (10.5-ish m) sidecut. It is my first choice for anything other than wide and steep groom. Eats ice, is ok in pow/chop, just plain smile-inducing when you don't feel like going 45 mph. powdahbonz
If you look under the craigslist crawler for Salomon FRS, you will find a super board, non-alpine, but plate worthy and fast and fun. It's a bargain...carbon in tip and tail-fast bx'er-sidecut of 9.5 or
Gtanner
I've got a 158 RT that I'd sell for cheap. I know it's not 160...but something to keep in mind. -Gord

MacSkiddin
That one is on its way to me from DiveBomber. You may want to look back to FilipinoFlyer's post, though. That was also a RT163sl. Not sure if it was sold. Dave
