LambertoMI
Looking for a 3 degree burton 4x4 cant disc. I have the vari cant for the rear, but a front 3 degree would be great. Anyone have any?
jetskier
I don't think they made a 3° cant plate in the 4X4 configuration. I have a 3° in 3D, but that's all I've ever seen. I have another vari-cant I'd be willing to sell. Thanks!
LambertoMI
They did make 4 x4 disc cant inserts. Can they be swapped out? I have the unicants, and I am looking for a low profile solution for the 4x4. Maybe this is really unrealistic of me, but just trying to see what might be out there... jetskier
I could be wrong, but the only ones I'm aware of that accept the 4X4 insert is the 7° wedge style cant and the small diameter 6°-7° round cant. The 3° large diameter cant I have has a similar insert, but the insert is made of plastic (with metal threaded inserts for the screws) instead of all die cast aluminum like in the ones mentioned above. I've never seen 4X4 inserts for the 3° large diameter.
ibrussell
They did make a metal 3 deg. I have one that fits in a round or rectangle but not letting it go. Charlie

This is a 3° 4X4 configuration? So, obviously the round & rectangle cants were 3° as well? Would you mind posting a photo? Thanks!
ibrussell
Here's a picture of a 3 deg 4 hole next to a 7 deg 3 hole. 2nd pic is a round 3deg homemade rectangle 3deg and 7deg
jetskier
Wow, thanks for the education! I have have owned everything Burton, EXCEPT for that! Rare indeed! I see why you don't want to part with it. I've actually been working on a plan to take a 7° wedge, weld up the bottom of the threaded holes for the bindings on the insert, drill them deeper & rethread, then machine both the metal insert and plastic down to 3°. Where are you at in Idaho? I grew up in Idaho Falls.
