big canuck
its Shred Grummer's vision. I just scooped him on it. He designed it with Bruce. I can't remember all the specs.... 170, 20 waist (I think) and about a 13 m scr if I remember correctly.... Fun board, not too long, not too short. Rides really nice. It's quickly becoming my go to whip. Bruce can build some crazy boards that preform as well as they look. It's a pity I'm such a useless photographer the ghost flame topsheet is suhweet

big canuck
Rode it the latter half of today Nakiska at day one of NES. Conditions were ideal and the board was over the top. So much fun, I'm sure anyone looking for that construction and spec would be super pumped. Thanks again Bruce and Shred
Cuban Carving Gooding
I rode my Carbomonster today. And a skier did me a huge favor. He rode right over my board before I even clipped in. I guess I don't have to worry about that any more. I loved the board it rides very well. It's a keeper. WTF here we come. Why do we tolerate skiers? Shred Gruumer
Yea Big,, Cuban kept his calm.. I didn't I was standing right next to him! although I held back (usually never). I only had a few choice words.... I almost got run over on my back last weekend and Im sure it would have put me out of the WTF..It was soooo was close! He ended up crashing at the bottom! That one had a lot of finger pointing and lashing!!.. Its getting bad... people just jump on skis or a board.. and just go straight.. But On a light note... Cuban's Carbo is sweet... I miss Mine!!! you want a Terminator II Zylon Evo III..

I guess I don't have to worry about that any more. I loved the board it rides very well. It's a keeper. WTF here we come. Why do we tolerate skiers? Ah, that sucks! Our a group was hanging out at the top of Nakiska on Sat, and a ski racer kid blew right through the middle of them, and ran straight over Freddy's Kessler. If I could ride as fast as Freddy I'd have hunted him down and assassinated him. The horned beast is awesome!!! And K, Rice has some killer photos of you railing on it!! (and Bruce on the Plankenschtein as well).
Puddy Tat
Our a group was hanging out at the top of Nakiska on Sat, and a ski racer kid blew right through the middle of them, and ran straight over Freddy's Kessler. There seems to have been a lot of that going on this weekend. I know on Saturday Zoe (age 7) was frustrated because a skier had bumped into her board at the top of Silver chair. And she was in tears at the bottom of the same run because another skier had run right over her board coming into the chair as well. For reference her entire board is 110cm long so the idiot must have passed within 30 cm of her. Whoever did it at the bottom is lucky I was bent over undoing my binding because if I'd seen them I probably would've killed them. You can say I should've been closer to her but I like to give her a bit of space because she is riding really well. Cheers, Dave
GV27
Nah, anyone who says you shoulda been closer isn't a parent. You gotta let the kids have a long leash and let them have fun. My 7 year old will go off and leave everyone if you don't get a move on!
softbootsurfer
Picked this new Burton Supermodel up last summer for Warranty issue on earlier Track model where bolt broke... This is the end of the Supermodel line as this year they have combined the supermodel and the Malolo to produce the Barracuda... The Supermodel line has been a terrific All Mountain Board for years and I want to say thanks for the memories
Gossamer
Back in '99 I picked up a Supermodel 174 and spent 12 year tearing up the deep powder here at Powder Mountain, I have a lot of good memories. Moved on to a Rad Air RR177W but I've held onto that Supermodel. It was a soft board but it taught me how to carve a turn. icebiker
The Supermodel line has been a terrific All Mountain Board for years and I want to say thanks for the memories Hear, hear! I had a '96-97 Supermodel...rode that puppy all over the NE, Sierras, Colorado, Switzerland. A simply awesome board which was the first to really help me learn to carve. I rode that thing for about 12 years. It was in excellent shape, too. I had posted it for sale here but got no takers. Sold it on eBay to a rider who plans to take it out to Alaska for some big mountain riding (plus got more than my original asking price ). Long live the Supermodel.:D
Mr.E
What are the numbers on that Schtubbette? Looks like a lot of fun in a smaller board.
SEJ
I just received the finest looking board I have ever owned. But, there's no sense taking pictures of her after the way Shred turned her into a porn star. (See the first post)

michael.a
What you're looking at is a restored 1st gen Swoard 175M. Supposedly the best of the best material-wise. Technically it's not new, but for me it sure is porn. I've had the board for a few years and it kept looking worse and worse, the topsheet was easily prone to scratches, it had some major dings, the color started to fade... even though it still had tons of edge life, good camber, it just looked like crap. so... why not make it look new? I thought about making a separate thread about the restoration process, but for now I'll just show you the bling bling. I wanted to keep it all original, so all it's got is a ton of gloss coats and a customized stripe on top of the nose. Been riding on it for a few weeks, everything is holding up perfect. Mirror finish anyone? From what I gather this is the first "board restoration" project ever done by private hands??? And a before pic to make you cringe, seriously, the board was beat. Titan
That puppy looks better than new.....how many man-hrs to to restore it? I like the custom nose-stripe....you've got me daydreaming of a black Coiler Monster, covered with old Rat-rod pinstriping.
