skatha Posted April 20, 2011 Author Report Share Posted April 20, 2011 It's 140 mg /kg.....the preparation you use doesn't matter as long as the patient gets about 10 grams of the stuff as the first dose. We always dilute it anyway because it smells like fart..... BTW, the US just approved IV acetaminophen for fever control. It's been on the market in Europe for about a decade... Also, BTW, most vicodin addicts I see take several times the max dose of acetaminophen daily and have normal liver testing. They gradually work their way up to 5-6 pills every few hours...that's 16-20 grams of acetaminophen daily. Not that I recommend that....
