Sidecut size

Ear dragger

Recommended Posts

If I remember correctly a GS set is 25-30 meters down the hill and 10-15 meters across the hill. Our sidecuts are still a bit smaller than the average gs turn which will allow the racer to carve the turn and possibly have some room to "glide", gaining more speed. There is also room for recovery from a turning mistake with the slightly smaller scr than actual turn size. If you look at some of the modern GS board specs they are pushing that scr up to 20m plus. The latest Donek is 14-24m variable radius.

A small scr in GS will mean added distance when the rider over turns the gate resulting in more across the hill or up the hill travel. There is also the added stability to factor in since the board won't be as turny.

Hope this helps.
