heatzig
I am headed to Vail in early Feb and want to get my board tuned up. I don't have any tools and want it done correctly. I just need the edges sharpened and base waxed. I have a 4 yr old Axis 177. Looking for suggestions on where i can get this done.Thanks. Michael Pukas
Look up Venture sports in Avon, across f/ City Market. They do lots of tunes for many tohers shops=hotels in the valley. I've had by boards tuned there when it's beyond my skills.
Thor VonRippington
Pukas - Is the ski shop near Wells Fargo in Avon still open? I took a few things there over the years with good results... can't remember their name
Michael Pukas
TVR - not sure which one you mean? Wells Fargo is east of city market, I think, and Venture Sports is directly west across the street f/ city market, next to Columbine Bakery. There's also a place called 3D in the Slifer center, near the new Westin, but that place is fairly new I think. They sell lots of tuning supplies, and do tunes too... Thor VonRippington
Maybe Wells moved from where I knew it to be... sounds like 3D is the place I'm thinking of but don't remember it being called that... coulda sold I guess. I didn't know Venture had a stone... they do know their chit there. I used them summer and winter for many things... good to know they are still around. heatzig
thanks for the replies. I will give Venture a shot. Now that you dug up my old thread, you'll see how i use the board 1 week per year - maybe that's why I am not improving much !!
tdifan_2003
He-he, didn't even notice it was your thread . I had looked into the same thing last year and ultimately went to to get my own tuning stuff
