I don't see the 'slope artists' cross-training or in the gyms and weight rooms, working on flexibility, durability, cardio, proprioception, etc. They seem to get by on simple innate ability, and when that isn't enough... they are thru. Somebody tell me if I'm wrong.

Most of the Elite athletes are doing just that in the summer. Cross training for freestylye looks alot different than crosstraining for racing. Think Trampolines, Ramp training, Air Bags, Gynastics. These guys don't need to be musclebound and bulky, they need to be flexible and Agile. If you don;t think it takes work to maintain in the offseason, and continue to progress the sport, You're mistaken. Check out the Stratton Mountain School Programs...

Just want to say RIP CK.... This day in 2003.

Legends don't die, they get remembered.

First I thought "off-topic"... Then it clicked - right on!

Who would be more inclusive example then the saint of snowboarding: The best racer AND freestyler of his time, plus an awsome big mountain rider.
