PointBreak
I need to expand the toe box on one of my boots. Any recommendations for the best boot fitters in the Northeast?
Jeffrey Day
I'm sure you'll get alot of very positive feedback about the bootfitters at The Starting Gate which is up at Stratton Mountain!
TheTruth
P.J. Dewey at Race Stock Sports in Waterbury VT. This guy worked on the World Cup circuit for years as the main bootfitter for Lange/Dynastar, and worked on the boots of World and Olympic champions. http://www.racestocksports.com//Articles.asp?ID=
fishrising
Starting Gate gets all my business for stuffing mondo32+ into mondo31 or smaller shells, including carving out some of my toe boxes... I've heard good things about Race Stock just south of Stowe as well, just never used 'em.
tex1230
starting gate is excellent. the place in stowe fishrising mentioned was really good whan I needed a quick adjustment during ECES a couple years back.
scrapster
I just hit a place called The Boot Shop in Ludlow, near the base of Okemo. They were good and extremely reasonable. Supposedly the owner, Shon, is a master.
ursle
I just hit a place called The Boot Shop in Ludlow, near the base of Okemo. They were good and extremely reasonable. Supposedly the owner, Shon, is a master. +1 on that, Shon is a master, he was at Northern Ski shop for years, I posted him here a few times, now he's got his own shop. If you need liners also I would suggest the Surefoot at Killington, can't beat Conformable liners...
lili
These guys took my borderline too big boots and made them nice and snug. It wasn't a fast process either but they were very helpful and patient.
GeoffV
Equipe Sport in Stratton Village (802) 297-3460 has a bootfitter who is also a hard booter that is fantastic. Equipe will be hosting our demo's for the ECES as well.
