big canuck
I have a line on this board... I've never owned a powder board, I do intend to use hard boots on the thing.. It seems kinda soft though.. Is that normal? It retailed for $800.00? Its all black with a white "firebird" on it. Anyone owned one want to give their $0.02? Any idea of the year? Thanks. bobdea
yeah the nitros are soft and IMO for you being big I'd go bigger for a ST type board. the most attainable of those would either be a prior (not sure how big those are made) or the older undertakers from rossi. other than the prior which I have not ridden these boards don't perform well on hard pack at all and hard pack is begging to break it anyway if you have a tumble or manage to stuff the nose

K I had a 178 Nitro Powder Gun and it was waaaay to soft for HB's. I have a 185 Rossi Undertaker (bought new and 1 day on it) that works much better but is a little too stiff for my 170 lbs. It is an '05 that I was meaning to put up for sale. Just my $0.02.

Wanna trade fer yer Rossi?;) Is that the board that's been sitting at Techno on 17th for a few years? Did they at least give you a deal? I tried to haggle with them a bit last year, but they wanted the full $800 for it... -Gord
big canuck
Thats the one. They sold it to me for $450.00 all in. I talked to a gal 2 weeks ago about it and she said "$800.00 is the price". I have a bud who works at another TS location and he was able to cut the deal for me. As I said I just want to get out of it what I'm into it for. It is a very cool board.

K love mine for the deep and steep. best pow board out there at the moment. that said it isn't really hard boot friendly. you could do it but it would shorten the board life for sure. very soft laterally. hard boots would break it eventually
Dr D
ask dave redman for hardboot advice on the swallows. he got a prior special made and inch narrower and a good bit stiffer. loves it <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z5y7b2ogs40&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z5y7b2ogs40&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
