Some years we get a huge dump right around then and it's powder galore (but beware the rocks and stumps underneath) and some years, it's Palmer only w/ hiking required to get from the chair to snow and vice versa. I have seen meadows open up as early November 5th and late as ? (much later). Lets plan on it if mother nature cooperates with us. Anyone going to Warren Miller this year?
