hockey2
Looking to give your old board a warm and loving new home. 2nd year rider (been in softies for 20+ years) 6'4" - 210 lbs I started on an old Burton race board and I'm looking for something updated. <input id="gwProxy" type="hidden"><!--Session data--><input onclick="jsCall();" id="jsProxy" type="hidden">

hockey2
So will these board be good for my size and abilities?
shintowin
...it's long and stiff enough to handle your weight but not so long that it will be difficult to turn. It's also a bit on the wider side to accomodate larger feet and a more relaxed stance (coming from softies). Where will you do most of your riding? If out West on some wide open groomers with less people you could possibly go with a bit longer board but if back East or Mid-West I'd say 178cm would be a perfect length. hockey2
I'm in upstate NY, so we definitely have tighter runs. Not looking to race but more of an all mountain board... so you think this is a good match? <input id="gwProxy" type="hidden"><!--Session data--><input onclick="jsCall();" id="jsProxy" type="hidden">
shintowin
...there are better boards that fit the category of "all mountain" but they definitely won't be as good for carving. if you liked the Burton race board you started out on then the Hot will be a significant improvement and is a great match, but if you want more of an all mountain board (powder, moguls, crud) then you might think about a different board.
