shintowin Posted October 19, 2009 Report Posted October 19, 2009 Here is a thread that was started in the Photos section (http://www.bomberonline.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=25937) and I wanted to get some idea of whether or not to pursue trying to get USASA to make a new age group (70+) for my dad -- he's 75 and racing against 60 year-olds. Nastar has age categories all the way up to 95+ Quote
b0ardski Posted October 19, 2009 Report Posted October 19, 2009 Creating a new category for maybe a handful of 70+ racers doesn't seem very glorious if they always win by default. A seperate masters series to concentrate the numbers might be more feasible. Quote
shintowin Posted October 19, 2009 Author Report Posted October 19, 2009 ...but often just making it to the bottom of the course in one piece can be a big enough challenge for a 75 year old even if there are no other competitors to race against. Quote
patmoore Posted October 19, 2009 Report Posted October 19, 2009 Because of my seven-day-a-week schedule in the winters I don't have the opportunity to participate in USASA events any more so my opinion may not carry any weight but, as a 63 year old, it would be nice to know that I haven't already hit the peak age group. I am really impressed that your dad is still riding at 75! Quote
