scrapster Posted October 4, 2009 Report Posted October 4, 2009 Steepwater Steep 164cm Freeride Board 24cm waist (Steep has the narrow waist, Plow has the wider one) 11.25 scr $100/shipped OBO-SOLD If you've ever wanted to try one of these, here's your chance to do it at a good price. I rode this with plates all last winter as I transitioned to HB's, and it was a heckuva lot of fun. Not many freeride boards have an scr this big, so its pretty unique. Steve Klassen, freerider extraordinaire, modeled it on the old Rossi Leviathan. Its damp, stiff, goes fast, and really excels in a range of conditions, from icey hardpack to powder. Board is a few years old and in good shape. But that's not saying much. These things are built like tanks and don't show much wear. Base is clean w/thick storage wax. As my quiver expanded, I was going to keep it as a rock board, but that would be shame. Someone else have fun with it! Here's a good interview with Steve about Steepwater: http://snowboard.mountainzone.com/2004/klassen/index.html Quote
