Thor VonRippington Posted September 13, 2009 Report Posted September 13, 2009 I woke up to a blanket of new snow on the divide... 36 degrees. No snow below 10,000 feet... but has me thinking about something other than golf for a change. I would guess Summit County will be starting to blow man-made any day Quote
Ernie00 Posted September 13, 2009 Report Posted September 13, 2009 That's not fair... no snow here for at least 2 months and if you need to know I woke up to my baby boy crying in pain because his teeth are coming out. Enjoy for the rest of us. Quote
Loc Posted September 13, 2009 Report Posted September 13, 2009 Wow congratulations! It's like we're collectively celebrating a new baby or something haha. Mammoth is still a few weeks away. Hopefully by this time next month SoCal will know if there might be an early opening or not. Quote
redriver Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 ...even here in Oklahoma, 100 degree days are over, finally a rainy weekend, and planning winter alpine trips just as my wakeboarding season moves from bare-skinned to wet-suited. Quote
Snowman Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 Was at Abasin yesterday, they got a nice dusting on top also. If I can figure out how to resize my pics I'll post some. Snow guns are in place ready to rock and if mother nature keeps up this heavy moisture flow to Colorado, we are looking at a big snow year. Can't wait to change from the Turner Burner to the Sims Burner. Quote
Puddy Tat Posted September 16, 2009 Report Posted September 16, 2009 Bring on the snow. I just put the boat away, and have started cycling to kick start the quads for carving season. As an aside if it weren't for these shoulder seasons where its too cold for watersports and not cold enough for snowsports I'd never have time for major projects at the cabin or house. Dave Quote

I only started hardbooting halfway through last season so I for sure am planning on becoming a lot more involved. I don't exactly know what the season will look like for me though, since tentatively I'm planning on studying abroad in Grenoble, FR for the spring if I can get the finances in line. I have another friend here at Mines with me that I'm sure would be interested as well. Quote
