Corey
I tried a unique camera setup today. Basically a bullet cam mounted to a home-made suction cup mount on the tail of the board facing forward. This first video is just stepping in and then wiggling my leg hard to check that the FinTec pins are engaged. Wow, that's a lot of flex! Second video is my first run of the day. The lens got covered in snow pretty quickly, causing it to lose focus. The snow that looked really good but I think they just dragged whatever makes the corduroy pattern over yesterday's ice without chewing up the sub-surface... :( Unfortunately one of the suction cups popped off part way down that first run and got a bunch of snow under it, I couldn't get it re-stuck. :( I'll try again on a warmer day. I tossed the Volkl in the car shortly after and had a surprisingly fun/challenging day on an F2 163 SL at slower speeds on the hard surface. eaglez
Very cool vid. I wonder if you clipped that cam on one of your top boot buckles if it would stay out of the snow enough to focus. Or suction cup it in front of your front binding. Is that a Bomber sticker on your boots? Or a special Bomber model? D.
Corey
I wanted it far back so that you could see the board decamber through the turn, but I certainly wasn't bending the board much in that run. I hope to try a bunch of different angles on a day when the suction cups stick better. I figured I'd put the Bomber name front and center in the video. The sticker didn't last much longer than the third run though. My wife asked what a "Bomberuxe" was... :P

SWriverstone
Cool vid! Here are a couple of test videos I made with a GoPro Hero camera—watch the 2nd one, which is suction-cup-mounted to the board right in front of my front leg (pointed forward). Turned out pretty good! (The first one is helmet-mounted, not as interesting.) http://www.shadepine.com/carvingvids.html Scott

ur13
Great angle! Wonderful video. It's interesting to see how the board interacts with the snow and how that differs from how you see it in your mind or from a standard angle. It reminds me of some of the onboard angles you see of MotoGP riders, especially while cornering.
Corey
Cool videos! Pokkis, your video was the one that inspired me to do this. I was hoping to get shots of the board decambering heavily through the turns but I didn't have the confidence on that first run to really drive it. Scott, cool stuff! Max, that video is absolutely awesome! :D
Sinecure
Those new Bomberuxe boots are very cool.
Jeffrey Day
Pardon my ignorance, but do you ride with heel lift on you front foot? Is the camera pointed at you front boot? Oh, by the way, cool video!

Oh, by the way, cool video! That's the back foot. I had the camera right near the tail of the board.
Ian M
Cool. It's neat to see how much these flex with the yellow bumpers. I'm loving the plush ride of mine! It's surprising how little the bindings actually move when you're riding as opposed to deliberately twisting.
