Bobby Buggs
How do they differ in shell size. I wear a 10 Nike sneeker but Im all the way down to a 26 shell on the SB style boot. Is the AF shell as roomy as the SB shell. Anyone go from SB to AF style and have to change shell size?
Bullwings
I was on 05/06 Suzukas (sp?) at MP29 and found it to be a bit too big. I wear a 11.5 US mens. I moved down to 06/07 Track 325s in a 28.5 and it fits perfectly for me. the shell and liner both cup my heel quite nicely. dunno if that helps. edit: I definitely know that the heel cup in the SB shell is tighter fitting too - i prefer it. Toe box is larger in the Suzukas too if i remember correctly. Of course, all of this could be due to a boot that's half an MP size larger. Dave*
The stated sole length on my SB series ( mondo 27 ) is 295 mm. The stated sole length on my AF 700 ( mondo 27 ) is 299 mm. Fit wise I cant tell the difference in length ( my bindings can) the AF series definitly a touch more wiggle room thru the toebox. For the record I generally wear a 11-11.5 american size runner, one foot clocks in at 28.5 cm the other at 28.3. I still have some 28 mondo in SB and AF and if I remember correct they are 303mm and 309 mm respectively. I used these boots before I figured out with a thin liner that I could go a full shell size down.
Bobby Buggs
So if Im good in the SB at 26 the AF should be the same in 26. Im tired of wearing duct tape because of the snow getting inside the tongue of the boot and melting on my feet.
Bobby Buggs
Anyone else go from Sb to Af and remember the shell sizes.
skategoat
I have a SB 27.5 and the lower shell says 26.5-27.5. My AF600s say "26.5" - no range. Don't know if that helps but it looks like the AFs have single size lower shells. I've also worn the 26.5 AF600s. They were a snug fit for my size 10 feet. Mike T
SB->AF 3 season ago, 25->25 The SB crushed my toes a bit, the AF is comfy as can be.
