I'll be there and maybe Dillon and Sharon and Kirsten and Nancy.tkdcrazysquirrel from Moscow would probably like to attend despite his starving college student status. I'll spread the word at Silver, which is closed today because they "didn't get the scheduled lift maintenance completed in time" Grrrrrrr!!!!18" sittting there fresh from being closed tue wed,and now setting into concrete.Grrrrr!!!!

We have three brand new hardbooters this year so far at Silver. That makes at least ten 'occasional to obsessed' hardbooters at Silver now.It thrives when it is exposed....

Unfortunately I won't be able to make it...I'm leaving on the 13th to drive down to Weed, CA to visit my gf. :1luvu::) (she's a hardbooter too! Racer to boot :biggthump)

Anyways, I'll be digging trench with her at Mt Shasta. Sorry guys.

P.S. Steve, when would be a good time to call you? You're a hard guy to get a hold of on BOL. :freak3:

Good to go for next week. I got my day off work that I requested. I'll drive up to Schweitzer on Thursday morning. How much more time do I need to get from Lookout to Shweitzer? I've never been there before, so I'm really clueless about how to / where to / etc...

I'm guessing about 2hrs from lookout 1hr from CD'A. Here's the directions from the web site.

For driving directions up to Schweitzer:

From the South

Take Hwy 95 North in Coeur d'Alene (Exit #12 off of I-90)

Go north for 35 miles toward Sandpoint

Cross the Long Bridge, over Lake Pend Oreille

Follow the main thorough-fare through town, and stay on Hwy 95 north

Turn left onto Schweitzer Cut-Off Road (corner of Burger King and the Schweitzer Conoco Station)

Turn right at the "T" intersection onto North Boyer Road

Turn left at the "Welcome to Schweitzer" Sign

Follow the road up the mountain for 9 miles

Stay in the center lane and pull right in for parking

If you have a cellphone we can stay in touch as you get to sandpoint and meet you,

if not it's easy to get to, the conoco station across from burger king can explain how to get there. I'll post a map when I find one.

To anyone else interested we have another $69 village condo coupon (Only valid sun.-thr. nights) & a few $10 day pass vouchers. Instructors & patrolers can get a comp ticket with an introduction letter from employer.

Feel free to call me for info (208- six one oh-two one six nine)

Troy

Steve call me to reserve vouchers

Squirrel at least you'll be carving

pin point forecast for schwietzer village 4500ft

the carving conditions for Thu. should be perfect.

we have another $69 condo coupon good for thu. or sun. night and a few $10 day tickets.

I hope some INWESers will come out of the wood work to help the schwietzer crew shred the best snow of the season:eplus2:

Boardski, I don't know what your thought were on this, but I'm all about saving money on this trip. So, the coupon would be great, but I have no problem sleeping on the couch or floor, etc if anyone wants to share a place.

I'll probably be leaving Missoula after work on Wednesday night. (I get off work at 11pm) and I thought I'd sleeep in the car along the way, but that 7 degree low isn't looking to good for that plan, so I guess I'll have to stop somewhere along the way.

looks good for thu. but wind chill on the face will be an issue.

Crap! I just found out I have to work:mad:. The quad is down so they called me in to work at chair 4. I’m sure I will see you guys. You will have to ride chiar4 to get to the back. I will bring the hard boots so if the timing is right I can take a few runs on loophole with you all. />

Steve don’t weary, I have a $10 coupon if Troy doesn’t.

tomorrow looks like 6-7 hardbooters but we'll have to kidnap a couple of'em away from work for a few runs:biggthump

We have a couple more $10 coupons if any more hardbooters show up.

THE BEST CARVING DAY OF THE YEAR for me and I believe it was unanimous for the others who rode.

Schweitzer has to be considered one of the best advanced to expert carving mountains in the country.Nine winchcatted and very well groomed runs.Numerous intermediate cruisers. On a par with Snowmass where I was last month;only better because of the steeps.Wow.

It can be the worst place in the fog but it is most certainly among the best resorts for carving anywhere. So cool that I only live 2 hours away.Shoulda bought there instead.

The 196 performed incredibly, mindblowingly well the first 2/3 of the day and then I rode the GForce171 the rest of the day.Different boards;same wide grin on my face!

As usual the Scweitzer guys showed me around like I paid for it .As always,Troy was a stellar tourguide.Riding with Dane was awesome and rewarding from the standpoint of watching someone use your riding advice.Kathy rode incredibly well.Nicest carving of I've seen her do.Just great to ride with Russ and Mark and John;I hope to get more runs with you guys before the season's end.

Wow,what an awesome day!:)

Ok, so anyone who has ridden with me before has probably heard me say this, but I definately got my "inspiration and motivation" by riding with the boys at Schweitzer. Friday was a little rough for me.... It's been a long time since I rode as hard as I did on Thursday and I was a bit sore in the morning. First time this season on the "long" board..... the 156 Hot Blast that Allee gave me last year. (My usual board of choice is an Oxygen 149) I think the best thing about this 3 day (two at Schweitzer and my regular day to work at Lookout) is that I did it all for under $100! and that included dinner at Red Lobster which was a real treat..... mmmm

Well guys, enjoy the rest of the season and let me know if you ever get down my way. You know how to get in touch with me. I certainly hope to do it again next year, so if any of the coupons are floating around next season, keep me in mind!

well, the 2nd annual inland northwest expression session was well timed with cold chalky cord in the sun, laid by cat masters in a zen garden. a lack of organization this year led to last minute dates & low turnout but the stoke factor was high for the schweetzer crew & the 2 other INWES posse that made it for the best carving conditions of the season:1luvu:

We were all to busy trenchin' on thu. to get any vids, so no proof of Steve slappin the snow to make his new 196 coiler crank ECs on B-chute (45 ft wide & 45* slope).

Kathy the camera girl got a few clips of the crew on fri. afternoon, thanks Kinpa. My computer won't copy the sony format, but I think I can copy to vhs and back to dvd. I'll try to post a couple clips later.

Mark had the best looking turns of the crew even after wrenching his shoulder hugging a tree.

I'll be up today for powder in the trees but may miss opening bell.

any body that shows up Mon. or Tue. at the clock tower, we've got a couple more $10 tickets and a $69 slopeside hotel voucher.
