SWriverstone
A friend and I are considering a "last hurrah" of the season in the form of a long weekend at Okemo...most likely sometime in March. How are conditions (generally) in March? And how late in March (or into April) can we count on decent conditions? Thanks! Scott (in the Mid-Atlantic...where the grass is steadily creeping out onto the slopes...) PS - Any intel on cheap hotels in Ludlow is appreciated as well! SWriverstone
So...has anybody ever been to Okemo in March? Do any Vermont resorts offer good carving in March? (Or is it a "global warming crap shoot?") Scott
cliffh
march is usually the best month of the year and this has been a stellar year. given the fact that they got about 2 feet in the past 5 days conditions are as good as they get ... just watch the weather. DjulezD
Hey Scott, check the thread on the sb gates at Okemo. You don't want to miss that if you go there. I am going to ride Okemo the 6th and 20th. If you are going at these dates, let me know.
pow4ever
I think it's going to be a crap shoot. No one can guarantee the condition. However this year have been good on the North East. Went to Stratton the past 2 years late March and it's just EPIC!!! However there are some years where late March is Here is where our ski club usually stay when we go to Okemo.
