Seraph
I skied there about 30 years ago when I used to race. Some of the coaches took us to an out of bounds area where we split up into two. I remember that the pitch was so steep that when you come out of your turn and initiate your next one you felt like you were lifting away from the ground and were going to fall straight down rather than land back on the snow. Anyhoo, spring/summer conditions...no problems for our group, but the other group had two of my friends fall approx. 15 feet into a crevasse and land on a ledge. High drama, helicopters, the whole deal. Luckily they didn't get hurt, just some bruises and more than a little freaked out from having their lives flash before their eyes. Besides that, if you can ever get there, do, great time, the people who live there are really nice too. Oh yeah..nice vid.

Dan
So, he's obviously a kick-ass skier hitting hairy features in steep terrain...but I felt like the extreme deviations from the fall line to get to hits really disrupted the flow of the run. Does scoring for these events prioritize big air over flow?
tex1230
Yeah scoring is more about hitting more features and less about the flow of the line (I'd rather see it smoother, too). I believe this was the winning run from that contest. I rode there in 91 and I'd love to go back. There are only 3 places I've ridden that really scared me...like "you could die here" 1) Squaw - Fingers and a couple of other places 2) Jackson Hole 3) Chamonix...and the lack of "out of bounds" added to my 21-year-old personality was not a safe combination
Jack M
probably somehow, distantly. There are a lot of us out there though.
BlueB
Come to think of it, the name of my French teacher at kindergarten was Madamme Michaud...
