D-Sub
I have orange and black. Which are the soft ones?
Chris Houghton
My softies were orange, but the stiff ones were gray? Flex them and you'll be able to tell. And don't use the soft heels and toes, they are like jelly tots.

D-Sub
no sarcasm allowed the black ones are in the boots, but I remember flexing them once and didn't really notice a diff. orange is ugly...but I want to try softer. colintkemp
Chris is right - orange = soft. [said with a totally straight face.] If anyone wants my orange ones (Mondo 28), let me know - they're just sitting on a shelf.
davekempmeister
I have all three and the orange is definitely the softest. Black and grey seem comparable to one another.
Dave ESPI
Not that I can compare to them with anything else other than the ornge ones I had for a week or 2 before I got the Black Stratos Pros, but the grey is "stiffer?", but It was not that noticeable by me as to performance differences. Thought you might want to upgrade to the pros same boot, stiffer a bit, but you're trying to soften up your stratos so I guess that's kinda moot I shoulda just kept the stratos I had. Surf Quebec
I'm a bit late but yes the grey is stiffer than the orange, I'm using the orange ones with my orange HSP boots. I need orange springs on my BTS to match the rest.
patmoore
I bought mine at the Starting Gate and they only came with one set of tongues and one set of springs. They are too stiff for me. I tried to cut the interior plastic according to the instructions someone posted here some time ago but didn't have the right tool to do the job. I have since reverted to an old pair of Raichle 324s that allow the flex I need. The Heads are a better constructed boot and I hate to give them up but rather than try to rework the Heads I'm thinking of just selling them.
