inkaholic
Lee, Bummer, and it looks like the lower buckle has a little crack starting in the same place as the broken one. Check it too. :) Repeated flexing back and forth will weaken the metal. I would think that you could salvage some off old ski boots for a quick repair. bobdea
I'd actually think about removing that buckle they collide and screw up the flex of the boot mine get knocked open all the time when I have time I'll remove it anyway

I noticed it on my other boot's 3rd buckle. Luckily, I went to Surefoot and got the extras and drilled 'em out. It's nice and back to normal for the time-being. With that in mind, I better check -all- the buckles for any tell-a-tale cracks.
Gleb
I think I broke like 5 or so buckles in the 75 or so days I used them. Do the new UPZs have beefier buckles?
bobdea
see how it performs might lessen the dead stop the boots have that would be a good thing IMO

NateW
I've broken one, too. There's a lot of stress on them since that piece doesn't lay flat on the boot. So when you latch the buckle it doesn't just pull on it, it tries to bend it too.
