mookihouse
Or a rider you know who weights about 90-100 lb. What board do you like/hate and why? Are there any quality freecarve boards made for this weight range that is not a Burton and does not cost more than $200 used? Thanks for sharing. Chris Houghton
There are older Oxygens and Sims boards that would be an appropriate flex, and they can be had cheap. Specifically Oxygen Fr or shorter Kr, and any Sims freecarvers. There's also the ultra prime, but you said no to the B boards.
stewart Hodgins
I only weigh 115lbs and I bought a coiler this year. It’s really hard to find a board made from that weight range, that is longer than a 156. The best thing is to look for an old board made for a light weight rider on the bomber classifiedsm, sometimes they pop up.:)
gdboytyler
I've got an Oxygen Proton 149 SL that you might like. I've also got spare bindings and spare mondo 24 boots (Head Stratos). I also happen to be in So Cal and ride regularly at Bear Mtn and Snow Summit. I'll be at Bear on Super Sunday. You're welcome to try out the board, boots and bindings at no cost. If you like the board, it's for sale for $100. If you like the boots, those are for sale for $75. Bindings are NOT for sale. Check out the So Cal ride board. http://www.bomberonline.com/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=

mookihouse
I have been checking the Bomber classify and eBay. I agree that it is not easy to find a freecarve board for the 90-100 lb weight range. It seems that it does not matter if I double the budget to $400. Choices are still limited unless I pay custom price, which I can't afford. Hey Erwin, I'll PM you about trying the Oxygen Proton. Thanks for the offer. Dave ESPI
I can only speek of my experiences, and of that which I have ridden, I can say an Airwalk FORCE 157 would be right up your alley. Ive had one for 2 years, and now a 167 and its noodly good fun :)

mookihouse
I saw a HOT Shine 148cm. Owner has no spec on eff edge or side cut. Anyone know if it is known as a stiff board or soft flex board?
Dave ESPI
Yeah Jon, It's definately what I needed. The bit more length and width smooths out my transitions and I can be less nervous now about loading the nose and tail in and out of turns. Would like it if there was a 177 Airwalk force........ but I'll have to get something else in that size and similar dampness.
