martyagt4 Posted January 10, 2009 Report Share Posted January 10, 2009 Heli-Coil would be ideal. I don't think the kits come with a bottoming tap though. If you do heli-coil, make sure to use some threadlock on the outside of the heli-coil, to make sure it doesn't spin out itself. The other option is to tap it out to a larger size. If the threads aren't too goobered up, I think a 1/4 28 is slightly larger in diameter. Just need to remember which insert is which. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
