acitarella
I have a board that I just cracked in half at the inserts. As a result, the two plastic pieces on my OS2 bindings (the 2x2" pieces that look like little U's under the toe and under the heel) came off (read: I lost them). I've put my OS2's on my other board without these pieces (I'm waiting for them in the mail) but want to know what the implications of riding on my board without them are. Seems like I may damage the board if I bend the board enough. Thoughts? Thanks.
gaa
I wouldn't ride without the bumpers. Without this you stand the chance of over stressing the board at the disc and possibly damaging the top sheet of the board with the ends of the power plate. Guest
Meh, I don't think it's the end of the world. On my pow board, I only have the toeside bumpers on as the heelsides wont stay on. I've seen no detrimental affects over the short term.
jp1
There's a ton of 'Olympic Series' bindings out there that never had those pieces, so it's hard for me to believe that you would have a problem using it until the new pieces arrive. Just my opinion though.
queequeg
I would imagine you're probably ok unless you have them mounted on a super soft board. I have the D3 elastomer under mine and they've never come off ...
