mmmm... 90 Minute IPA on tap must be nice.

yeah, I found that belgianshop.com too. I might have to bite the bullet and get some Brune and also try the Leffe 9%. $50 minimum order. Hmm...

The bummer with online beer shopping is the shipping..... I had an order setup that cost more to ship than the beer itself, that was an easy fix.:eplus2:

Hate to resurrect an old thread... but I'm just sitting around reading old threads.

Check the "Beer Bible" for this place on Corso Italia here in Ottawa:

I really do enjoy Kronenbourg.

For all you coming te SES, The Daily Bottle in Snowmass purchased several cases of Stone beers when they came out, and have just put some of them on the shelves, namely,

Vertical Epics, 06, 07 and 08, Stone 9th, 10th, and 12th Anniversarys.

Holy ****.

Harpoon Leviathan Baltic Porter. Damn good if you like dark, strong, full-bodied beer. I'd put it up against just about anything in this class. Better than Dogfish Head Palo Santo Marron.

that's a mighty bold statement.

Whoa now, Palo santo is in a whole different class of beers. I don't think you can really compare the Palo Santo to any other beer I can think of, as it's just too complex, kinda like a cross between Bourbon and Cognac. Plus, I highly doubt the Porter would age as well.

the palo is good stuff (just had one last night). would love to cellar a few for a couple years, but have not the patience...

I found the Palo to be very enjoyable for about the first 6 to 8 ounces. After that I was kind of muscling my way through it. It's just so thick and chewy, dare I say syrupy. Almost too much. And the wood flavor is nice, but again for me it starts out as a good thing but gets to be too much after several sips.

Is there any point to aging filtered beer? I would think without any sediment in the bottle there'd be nothing happening...? The Leviathan is filtered. Palo is not, as I'm sure you know.

Try the Leviathan.

Have you tried Samichlaus? That will put hair on your chest.
