Mellow Yellow
I've mentioned this to a few of you on here.....it looks like I'm moving the Charlotte....going from bad resorts to worse I fear .....anyone have any thoughts or experience at any southern resort? I have been to Snowshoe a few times, but that is as far south as I've gone... Thanks....
Guest Jagger
Yellow just ggogle NC resorts I had found one but forget the name, the elevation was good like 4000 ft but they didn't list vert but from the trail maps it apeared lacking like less than 500 ft vert. On the bright side though you'd likely be king of the snowboarders on that mountain. BTW if you move there my sister lives there maybe we can ride together for a day or two if I get time to visit next winter. Jagger

Mellow Yellow
The more I look at beech and sugar...the more I think it may not be as bad as I thought..... Hmmmm...SVES in NC... :D maybe I can take on a missionary role...try to convert some of the native skidders!
Guest Marilyn Cambers
Mellow ~ Hey! You are moving the wrong way!!!! What's up with that? Tell your fiance to get a job in New York or New England states!! Talked to a few people who lived in N.Carolina, but they haven't been to the ski resorts! Sorry?! SVES ... N.C. ... nah ... you'll just have to make a trip back to PA, or a weekender in W.Va. Nascar ... NOOOOOOO ... don't convert to that!! Next you'll be wearing a big ol' cowboy hat and singing some depressing country muzak. Love you new avatar! Marilyn ;)
Mellow Yellow
but I'm already a big fan of bluegrass and country music! heck, I've even met and talked with Dr. Ralph Stanley
Guest Jagger
Yellow no not nascar that automaticaly lowers your IQ 75 pionts. I think my sister got more snow in Charlotte this winter than we did here. She says its hillarious a 1/4 inch of snow shuts the whole town down, they send everybody home from work and school. Zcarver
......Yikes!!! I heard that NC didn't do too bad this season. I guess instead of riding a 25+ days season I would have to settle for 7+ days. Boo HOO! My other choice is CA. Hmmmmmm

Mellow Yellow
nope, I don't street carve...not even sure I know what that is! how are sugar and beech for carving...or what area out of the whole lot is the best for carving? Statesville....I'll be living in Kannapolis...that's fairly close to you...isn't it?
Guest wally sipes
hi, beech sux! sugar is the longest with 1200 vert and it can be ok early before the snow gets recycled. app is short but they make a ton of show every night if the can. sugars grooming stinks. app does a great job. statesville is 45 min from kannapolis. let me know if i can be any help to you but i don't shirt about nascar and don't want to fk know. aloha, wally
