I am sure glad the latest re-creation of the annual X-games are over with. Sean White and ESPN must be sleeping in the same bed, or at least Sal Masakela is. Just finished watching the Half pipe competition and I don't think ESPN could possibly do anymore hyping for Sean White, Flying Tomato, Ginger man what ever you may want to call him.

It seemed whenever there was a competition being slopestyle, halfpipe or big air ESPN would run a small 45 second clip about Sean White. Did anyone else notice this??

I'm not taking away anything from his riding ability, he did stick a 1260 backside in the halfpipe tonight. I just would like to see some of the other riders highlited, Mason Aguirre, Danny Kass and some other riders.

6-7 years ago. It was good seeing him compete, but he obviously couldn't hang tonight. Ryo looked good too, but couldn't put together the full pull with grabs and spins both directions to put the smack down on White. I agree he was getting alot of love, but when he's the guy most people identify with, they play to that strength. Pearce got alot of press too for his "iron man" performance going from one event to the next, running all day long. Skier X was unbelievable with all the crashes, those guys deserve medals just for surviving! It would be nice to see something involving carving though......"carve style" instead of "slope style"? "Carver X" instead of "Boarder X"???

Well, I didn't pick up on that as much as the travesty of the news conference afterward Lindsey Jacobellis won gold in snowboard x. She was asked if she had earned redemption. ESPN had her fall at the Olympics plastered on large screens throughout the venue. Even as she approached the gate!! Her rivals were even puking. Yes the fall in Italy was the ultimate blunder but to have it smeared in your face in Aspen was not right. She is the reigning World Cup champion. Anyway loved wathcing the slopestyle and superpipe. But alas tricks are for kids. Will be flying Delta into Aspen. Wish the pilots were flying the Lockeed Electra 4 engine Turboprop. A bit old but man those aircraft really could bite into thin air. In 76 flew out of Tahoe in a insane snowstorm and I knew that water was cold below but that plane could climb!! Darkclone out

Kass for example should not be allowed to speak, nevermind in front of a camera. I am pretty sure he's developmentally delayed, no joke, I've met the guy. not all there.

I know Tanner personally, He really puts on a act for any camera, The kid has made freestyle skiing cool again and defined the limit of the current progression, and when no other ski worked well for him he made his own company. That every littl rat wants to be on. Now I see him driving sick cars and living in 2. something homes.

How stupid is he really? Or has living the dream changed his want or need to "be a regular working stiff"???

Annoying personalities or not, I could watch X Games for days.

I like Shaun White. He's literate, funny, and his stoke always appears genuine. And there was NO WAY he should have stuck that 1260 - he must have only cleared five or six feet of air off the pipe, and he landed it clean. Just awesome.

Bummed I missed the SBX, I'll have to spend some time on YouTube this week. The skiercross was pretty chaotic though, when they showed the shot from the back of the jump you could see just how far those poor sods were falling - that had to hurt.

Highlight of the weekend - Jossi Wells scored a silver in slopestyle and did the Kiwis proud on camera. Yay!!
