Mike T
Not sure what the worst I've ever seen was, but Star Wars Episode 1 has to be on the list somewhere.
Gecko
the 1st Starship troopers was good though certainly not as good as the book...too much was trimmed out that the original thought is kinda lost for the fascist scifi movie it became...the 2nd was a waste of time and video Kiera Knightly Superbad was just that, Not sure what the worst I've ever seen was, but Star Wars Episode 1 has to be on the list somewhere. if you ignore Jar Jar it's not too bad

Derf
which makes you sensitive ;)Totally kidding. Your call, completely. Do you boycott all movies with gunplay in them? Equilibrium is a futuristic fascism-gone-wrong fantasy that combines martial arts with gunfights and is really a damn fine story AND production. I see your point and certainly wouldn't begrudge you your decision~ I don't boycott movies with guns, I still enjoy watching the Bourne trilogy or The Matrix, but I will be less inclined to watch a movie with important gunplay. My GF said something pretty interesting regarding movies: There are still lots of movies about fascism or government with excessive power, it was realist to fear such a future 50 or so years ago, but they are not representative of the way things are going. Private companies are the ones to watch in our present occidental society; they have way too much influence over the governments. Enough for paranoia... for now. willywhit
[quote Superbad was just that /QUOTE] I watched a bootleg of SuperBad months ago and thought it was a riot. Seth and Evan are another Farrelly Bros in the making. http://www.wga.org/subpage.aspx?id=2446 My neighbor is a carbon copy of McLovin' and a funny kid to boot, even his parents call him McLovin' now. I am going to watch it now, when before I would have written it off as another American Pie. Which I did not care for, for some reason. Thanks WW. Benito Musolini once said. It's funny how people love to scream about open markets/free trade and open economic boarders with regional and global free trade agreements but yet want to build a wall to keep mexicans out, sounds fascist to me :D

Scuff
While I can appreciate the film, I really didn't like "Lost in Translation." Then again, I also thought "Fargo" was pretty funny. Remember any of these? "Dead-Alive" or "Howard the Duck" or "Leonard Part 6" If you can find it - check out The Wizard of Speed and Time I'm going to add "Kill Bill" it to my Netflix queue..might even give "Lost in Translation" another chance. John Bell
I hated The English Patient. Just saw No Country for Old Men--QUASI-SPOILER ALERT--and it was great until near the end. That's all I'll say. I'd definitely rent it. I still give my buddy hell for recommending Chasing Amy to me. I didn't even finish it (which is his defense). Surprisingly good was Sense and Sensibility, which my wife forced me to go to. Not only was it entertaining, but I scored major spouse points!
