Mike T
Specs: Length - 188 cm Running length - 170 cm Waist - 18 cm Sidecut - 15.7 m Taper - 4 mm Stance width - 18.5 - 20 cm Stiffness - 6.6 Construction - Superboard Base - Micrograin Graphite Rider weight built for - 190 pounds Date built - December 2004 Condition: Topsheet - some lift rash and storage scratches. Nothing that should affect performance or durability. 7/10 Base - Original grind, moderate linear structure still intact, a few nicks but nothing that I deemed worth ptexing. Worst of it is shown below. 8/10 Edges - excellent condition, 3* side, 1* base, well maintained. 9/10 Camber - still has original amount of camber. As with most Coilers I've seen, it doesn't have a whopping amount of camber like say a Madd, a Virus or some of the Doneks I have seen. This deck has plenty of life left in it, I set the edge bevels soon after buying it and used a diamond stone to maintain it, and I never took it in for a grind so no worries about shortening life if you want to get a full shop tune. I am selling as I prefer wider waists now - and it is not seeing much action with a NSR II 185 and a PR 196 in my quiver. Price: $350 + actual shipping from 97701 Please email me, mt (at) tovino (dot) com If you're able to get to Mt. Bachelor, try before you buy!!! bobdea
ohh man, it would of made a fine twin to my 190 with blue flames. Real nice board for anyone who's not been on a coiler Pure Race, they are DAMP with superboard construction.

Mike T
Bumpity bump bump bump... this is a great deck for speed! Very easy to handle for a 188 cm / 15.7 sidecut though!

Dan
Heck, I'd love a test ride. I'd have to carry a backpack full of sand to flex it though. :)
Art
Thanks Mike. Gonna be in Idaho at that time.

I'd have to carry a backpack full of sand to flex it though. :) You'd be surprised, it's a pretty friendly board. If I can ride Greg MacD's Tinkler 203 (which soaked up every last bit of my energy just making it bend down a green run - Greg is MUCH bigger than me) this one would be a piece of cake for you. Just don't take it down TBird for your first run
Mike T
Didn't win any boards at SES? Buy mine instead! I would consider a trade or trade + cash for the right SL deck - 185 pounds, 19 - 20.5 waist, gotta be in good shape and be something that is grippy as hell. Mike T
Any interest in this board:http://www.bomberonline.com/VBulletin/showthread.php?t=19707 Thanks for the offer. I am having such a great time with my Coiler NSR2 185 that I'm not sure another high-end GS board makes much sense for me. Keep the trade offers coming though! Jeffrey Day
I can barely fit my FC-175 in my car...how am I going to fit a 188 in there??? But seriously, I assume this Coiler was built for your weight, right? And I weigh 145, sans equipment. Would I be be able to ride this thing? Being such a crappy carver and all! What do you think? I suspect that it would cross the line where it's more work than fun for you at 145 (even though the photographic evidences says you are NOT crappy carver by any means). The FC 175, I honestly found to be a bit soft once I got to the stage where I didn't consider myself a crappy carver ;-)
Mike T
... bump... I will have this deck on hand every day of OES, try before you buy! If those titanal SG's that RJ is bringing are too expensive, this could be your consolation prize.
Art
Hey Mike, what can you tell me about the ride? Damp? Edge hold.? Compared to some of the metal boards? I am really curious, waffling for sure, but I am looking for something quiet to ride, just not sure if this is it. Kicking tires, sorry to take up your time, but I find it keeps me from looking at the political stuff on the OT board, and if I go over there I will lose some friends. Mike T
Art, It's VERY damp, as is any long Coiler with Superboard construction. Edge grip is certainly not on par with a titanal board. It doesn't perform as well as a titanal board on hardpack by any means but it's better on softer groom. Very forgiving especially for a board with its length and sidecut but extremely stable at speed. The edge grip is nothing to sneeze at - Superboard was Coiler's state of the art at the time this was built, before titanal was available to more than a handful of individuals. Again, main reason I am selling is the fact that I have really started to like wider waists... oh, and I also have a similar 196 (with a wider waist) which takes it up another level. Here's an older post where I compare my experiences with Donek Olympic vs Coiler Superboard vs Metal (Prior and Coiler) I have no problem with tire kickers - kick away! feastofvermin
Well seeing as no one seems interested, I'm gonna go ahead and offer you 200, plus shipping.
Mike T
Thanks for the offer - I am not willing to go that low at this time. If I decide to, though, you have dibs.
