New rider owned resort opens

This may belong in the OT section but I'll start it here anyway....

Buncha snowboarders that have been riding for years and building parks decide that they want to open their own place - so they did. These guys drive the snowcats, do their own welding and get creative as hell when finding something that they can turn into fun.

It's not carving related but these guys are real boarders that turned a dream into reality - and Jay Rydd is my brother-in-law. We got the call this week that they are officially open for riders. I couldn't be more proud of his accomplishments.

The old jersey crew may remember Jay, he was at Vernon driving cats for a long time, park design etc.

That's really cool, congratulations to those guys for getting it done! Being in the area I'm surprised I haven't heard of this place before, but they did just open and terrain parks aren't my thing.

In my post about running a resort a couple people mentioned resorts that are for sale right now and my first though was an all carvers mountain. :D

Yeah it's just a dream; I know we don't have the numbers to support it unless everyone on BOL moves to the same town. :biggthump

How about just one designated run, that would be nice. No more worries about getting hit by a skier bombing the hill.

(WB did you get my e-mail? If not send me one and I'll reply or check your spam folder)
