Powercarver129
I measured out to be a mondo 27.6... so would I be looking to buy a 28? 27? are there 27.5's made? what do I want, which way do you round?
Furi
downsizing is recommended from what i've read and from my own experience. I was a 26.7 measured with the paper trick and went with a mondo 26 deeluxe boot. After getting it heat molded they fit great.
Powercarver129
ive heard about heat molding and how beneficial it can be so it seems like i gotta do it. do all boots have the capability to be heat molded? if not what kind of liner do you need to have? can anyone tell me exactly how this works, can i do it myself or do i need to have it done by a professional and how much does it cost? thanks a lot

Furi
those are some great links - good info there. I bought my boots from the bomberstore and got them heat molded at a local store - Surefoot. They didn't charge me anything to get them molded. I see your in Mass - alot of good shops up in VT area. I found these 3 recommended places from the Carver's Almanac: Vermont: Startingate on Rt. 30, on the access road to Stratton. See Gary. [Note: Startingate uses a .net domain name] Vermont: Green Mountain Orthotic Lab at Stratton Massachusetts: Summit Ski and Snowboard in Framingham Also more general info on bootfitting on the Almanac: http://alpinecarving.com/bootfitting.html welcome to BOL :) I hope you find a good board (read your other thread) and enjoy hardbooting
GeoffV
Go down, I measured 27.8 cm and I'm going down to a 27. Up to this season I've been riding 28s and have been getting to much heel lift.
tex1230
It's easy to make a small boot bigger. it's impossible to make a big bot smaller.
