jtslalom
I rode MC from 7:00 pm to closing. Conditions weren't that good. On most of the hill they were sort of inconsistent but not terrible. There was only one good run and that was Great Northern. It was almost to soft at the top but changed over to a nice firm consistency toward the bottom before it merges onto the old Turnpike. I sure wish I had ridden with Shawn and WilliamBlake but being that they are both in bed by 7:00 pm they couldn't make it out to ride. Scott, the guy I met riding is in need of some teaching/coaching. I refered him to williamblake. I hope he finds this site.
jtslalom
Actually he was on a soft board. I forget the brand but he was riding soft boots. I'm sure he will make his way to this site by the end of today. He says he rides about a dozen times a year at MC.
Guest surferscottli
JTSalom - thanks for the advise the other day. Those were some amazing turns you did. I tried getting on the site last night but had problems - it now works - I will contact William blake for more info as I want to get from being an advanced snowboarder to the next level(expert) as I feel I am in a sticking point right now. - I will be up at the mtn this Sunday with my buddy, which also happens to be a school teacher, maybe we can meet up for a run or 2 in the morning - Talk to you soon
Guest surferscottli
As I know this is a snowboarding site I will keep the surfing talk to a minimum. Grew up surfing a place called Hemlocks(between cedar beach and Gilgo). Now I do all my surfing in Long Beach as I live 10 minutes from the ocean. It sounds like you did your surfing at Main Beach if you went to school out there. This past Nov 10th we had the best waves in 5 years. If you still surf in the winter let me know and you are more then welcome to hang with us and get a surf in at Long Beach - The only bad thing that I live where I do is that it takes me 1:30hr to get to MTN Creek but is always worth it - I drove 3:30hrs this past Tues evening to snowboard for 3:30hrs.
