k2slopesurfer
Snowshoe just got 11" in less than 48 hrs, drive the 6 hrs (from raleigh, for me) and enjoy some awesome conditions, i'm betting recon is tearing up the packed pow groom on his new coilers as I type this. I'm sad that I couldn't stay another day.:(
boarderboy
You're right. Hoping for a couple of Appalachian day trips, a Snowshoe weekend, and at least part of ECES. If all that happens, it'll be my best season in years. Glad you got some at the 'Shoe!
jtslalom
I wouldn't be to worried about the latest "trend" which states that the winters are getting warmer. I'm sure compared to the past 150 years maybe some winters lately have been a few degrees warmer. If there was "accurate" data from the past 50,000 years and still the trend was that winters are getting warmer I would be worried. There just isn't enough "accurate" data to compare it to. If I'm not mistaken I believe scientists were speculating that back in the 60's or 70's we were due for another ice age. Well according to their data it looked that way. Needless to say I'm not to worried.
