I was wondering what experiences people have had with ZipFit liners. I have Burton Wind boots and the tongues of the stock liners started digging into the tops of my feet. They aren't broken, but look to be bent/deformed.

It was recommended to me on this forum that I use a liner with a tongue with Burton boots rather than the wrap-style liners, so I bought a set of ZipFit liners. I molded the liners/boots per the directions.

What I have found is that they feel way stiffer than the stock liners. They are generally comfortable, but when the terrain gets bumpy I feel like I'm getting bounced around and beat up a lot more. I can now buckle my boots only on the first (most loose) latch and even that feels very tight around my calves. My calves also feel more sore at the end of the day.

I removed the power strap from the liners (the boot has a power strap of its own) and I keep the laces loose to keep them as flexible as possible.

Have others had similar experiences?

Is there a way to make them less stiff?

Can I fix/remold the tongue of the Burton liners with a heat gun?

zipfits in burton boots are about as good as it gets

I loved 'em

loosen the spring in the back of the boot and also you'll find you don't need to tighten the boot much at all
