Where can I buy me a set of alpine boards or hardboots in NYC???

I'm interesting in trying out hardboots and I was just wondering where I can go to get fitted and buy. Most stores only sell freestyle boards so I'd appreciate it if someone can reply with the store name and cross streets. Thanks!!

Skistop in Long Island used to sell hard boots and boards in the late 90's and early 2000's. I don't know what they have left but from what I was told two years ago they still have some stock that sits in the bowels of their store. Call them and find out. You may even want to take a ride over there just to see. I don't know exactly where they are located but i think they are right off the L.I.E. I don't remeber the exit. Other than that there is a shop up near Stratton mountain in Vermont called the Starting Gate. They definately have hard equipment.
