Guest AllMountain
can anyone recommend an excellent tune shop anywhere from seattle to coeur d'alene? i have a few new boards to be bevelled, and i don't want to do it myself. everyone here seems to recommend PTC, but i'd prefer not to incur the expense and wear-and-tear of round-trip cross-country shipping, if i can find comparable quality locally. thanks. joebosman
Believe it or not....REI in spokane. We have a GrindRite Snowboard Stone and two staffers that are/were Hard booters. I tuned in Mammoth for 6 years and Charlie...Charlie raced in Europe and is a very good tuner... Cheers joe
Guest AllMountain
unfortunately, i've already sent my boards to PTC. will definitely catch you guys at REI next time!
omskates
Would the Kennewick, WA REI ba able to hook me up just as well?
northcoast
They can get you tuned up but don't know the staff. ...I always forget they have an REI there. I always end up at Sportsman's Whorehouse instead. Usually when I head to the Tri-Cities it's for ducks, pheasant, or family. ________ MEDICAL MARIJUANA STATES
Jon Dahl
World Cup skier service is set up to do whatever you want, base grinds, ceramic grinder for the edges or file 'em. I think a few people in this are have used them.
northcoast
How long do you have to wait though? Quantity discount? I've got 8 boards and a couple pairs of skis that need different levels of tuning. ________ HOT BOX VAPE
joebosman
I can't speak to the Kennwick stores shop....haven't worked with any of those guys. We finish race boards to your spec...bevel, etc., by hand...usaully about a 2 - 3 day lead time.
